Overview

Taking realism to the next level, the Savage Gear DC Slide Gill combines ultra-lifelike design with a hollow body construction that moves across matted vegetation with outstanding efficiency.

Designed using Dual Chamber (DC) technology, the Savage Gear DC Slide Gill features a chamber of the hook and an independently sealed upper chamber, which minimizes water intrusion and allows the bait to seamlessly glide across the surface of the water. Included with a razor-sharp double frog hook that hugs the body, the Savage Gear DC Slide Gill allows anglers to fish around heavy grass, pad fields, and tight spots under trees and around docks with confidence.

Offered in a range of hyper realistic bluegill colors, the Savage Gear DC Slide Gill makes every cast count by minimizing water intrusion and delivering a highly effective walking action calls to trophy bass.

Comments: Bait is really good looking .. walks nice sits good in the water.. one can present a nice slow walking/dyeing Gill... But..... the Hook Ups !!! The Hook ups are Baaad .. Tufff .. Frustrating... so if I'm in a tourney and I cant afford to miss on any fish.. this Dude stays in the Box... Sorry SG Thumbs down on this one

Comments: Finally a real looking gill.  I just tried out this DC Slide Gill (bluegill color) and man does it look like a real dying fish on top of the water.  I had more strikes and hookups with this than i ever had with Livetarget Sunfish or Strike Kings Pad Perch.  This New lure really shines!  Throw it in the nastiest slop and it comes back clean. The duel air chamber is a very smart idea.  I have yet to have my Slide Gill take on water.  Back when this Covid19 crap started Tackle Warehouse kept having shipment date delays.  Finally they got these DC Slide Gills in!!!!!  You couldnt find them ANYWHERE.  Im so excited these are now available.  Thank you Tackle Warehouse for finally getting these in stock. BUT the Bluegill color in stock didnt last long.  I ordered the last one that was in stock.  Even with this Covid19 issue going on shipping was still pretty fast!

Comments: I was excited to get and try these I bought two in bluegill. The color is great the dog walk action is pretty good Because of the dual chamber I guess the hook leaves the body very close to the front and leaves a lot of hook exposed under the bait. Because that hook hangs out like it does these are almost impossible to skip.

Comments: This bait is absolute trash. Just another bait designed to catch anglers, not fish. I missed several fish today that normally would have been in the boat with my standard choices(fished on 7'3" heavy rod/50lb braid/Lews super duty reel). But instead, I wanted to try something new and now I know not to ever try it again. Here's a list and grade of what I noticed about this bait. Appearance: The bait looks very realistic and attracts fish. A+. Action: Action is amazing. Walks very well and even jumps out of the water like a fleeing fish. A+. Castability: Casts surprisingly well. I thought the tail would act like a sail and effect it. I was wrong. A-. Weedless: It is fairly weedless. Hung up a few times but that is to be expected. A-. "Dual Chamber": Yeah right. It fills up with water like any hollow body bait with a hole in the belly does. In fact, one of the fish I set the hook on made the hook come out of the body and it ripped a hole in the plastic right where the hook comes out. D-. Firmness/softness: The material this bait is made from is very firm. Which makes it extremely difficult to get a good hookset when a bass bites down on the bait. Which is my next and final point. F-. Hookset percentage: This is by far the most important factor with any bait. If you can't hook a fish and get it in the boat, there is positively no reason to be using it. If a fish absolutely swallows this bait and nothing affects your hookset, you might get it in the boat. I got several strikes, felt the fish, let them take it for a couple seconds, and then set the hook like I always do and this bait comes flying right back at me. And I know they had the whole bait in their mouths because the paint is scratched on the head of the one I used. I would give this bait an "I" for incomplete or a 0 but I'll just give it a quadruple F minus. All in all, I would seriously look for a different bait. The Livetarget Sunfish is no good either. Some of my standards are Booyah Pad Crasher, Spro Bronzeye Frog/Popping frog/ Bronzeye shad or Livetarget Mouse. Thanks for reading.

Comments: Great lure. Amazing action and never sinks like they say from the dual chamber. The tough fabric material tail adds great action and splash when walking it. Great colors as well. I go with white gill cause my lakes they heavily feed on bluegill and shad so it looks a little like both. Recommend you guys try it anywhere you throw a frog. Very nice hooks as well. Great hook up ratio and no need to replace. They are an odd shape anyways. But a nice EWG and bent up and out straight out of the box.
