Surprisingly greatGot a 7ft Med just to replace another rod that I broke. It is probably one of my favorite spinning rods to use and is very light and sensitive. I had the tip top guide insert pop off but since I build rods, I had an SSR stainless guide to replace the tip top and it’s still going so for me.

Comments: The Sellus is an amazing rod, regardless of price. The fact that it's also dirt cheap is incredible. I've fished the 6'8 Medium for 3 years or so, mainly as a weightless wacky/fluke rig. The sensitivity is good, it's parabolic so keeps fish pinned, and it still looks brand new. I just bought the 7'1 Medium as I was so happy. Of all the rods I own this is probably my favourite and the cheapest. Can't argue with that.

Comments: That rod is fabulous! I got the two peice medium .. I've caught fish allover the world with it. Alaskan salmon to big bass in Mexico. It's a terrific pole for the Amazon! Handles big fish like a champ. (Up to 16 lbs) bicudas, big peacocks and payara. I really wish they made a two peice casters in this model.

Comments: I know a lot of rod snobs who wouldn't fish for fun or let alone a tournament with a $50ish rod; FINE, I'll keep this secret weapon all to myself, LOL. After yesterday I HAD to write yet another review....... Was on the river yesterday with the 7ft/med with 10lb CX Premium throwing a DT4 and WHAMO, a 10lb Channel Cat smashed it! 3 times I got it to the boat and 3 times its surged big time and took off under the boat almost wrapping my Sellus round the hull. The third time wore it out and we got it to the net....WOWZERS. I really don't think the St Croix fiberglass or any other crankbait rod could have done better. Now more than ever I want to get the 7ft Casting Med for Big cranks. SHIMANO FOREVER!!!

From: Jamie: IN 8/21/22

Comments: Bought my second Medium model this spring, now i have 2; 1 for small shallow cranks and 1 for small jerkbaits. These rods really do improve my hookup ratio with horizontal baits; the near parabolic action launches the baits and if a 4lb smalley decides to make a last ditch effort at the boat, the rod has enough give to save the line from breaking and enough power to bring it back to submission.

From: Jamie: Indiana 8/8/22

Comments: I have 4 of these. They are not light, but I am convinced you cant break them by accident. I use them for skipping under limbs with the Zman Frogz. I put a lot of force on these things, to skip and break them free from brush on an over skip. I have broken several other rods skipping spinning rods the way I do. I have stepped on them and even caught them with other rods on the back swing when casting on my kayak (where I would normally take a tip off) These are perfect for kids. And a Solid rods if you don't mind the weight. Your arm will get tired casting this all day. But they will take a beating.

Comments: Overall great rod for the price which i use 1/8 ball jig for swimbaits. Sometimes catching 6in bass is more fun than the lunkers.

From: Alky: Palm Beach, FL 4/28/22

Comments: Wow... I spend $50 bucks on a rod and it is WAY better than any of the St. Croix or Duckett rods I have fished. I was throwing a wacky rig at a local pond and I got a bite on slack line and it felt like a lawnmower running over a pile of bricks the sensitivity is amazing. Not to mention it is extremely light

From: Unknown: Pennsylvania 6/15/21

Comments: These do not feel like a 50.00 rod. I am pretty poor and can not afford the more expensive rods. But these, I can tell you, cast way better than any cheap rod out there. Durable. I have not broke one yet. And as others mentioned, the castability is unbelievable. I feel i have way more control and distance with the casts that any of my other rods.

Comments:I bought a 7ft Med for throwing small cranks a few wees ago and WOW, I'm super impressed; it's composite construction gives it an almost parabolic bend when loading up the cast and it launched the small baits a country mile. Although I've yet to catch a giant, yesterday I had a 3 lb smalley hit my Bandit 100 at the boat and tried to run under the boat and my rod handled it masterfully. I really don't think the St Croix Fiberglass rods could do much better to justify another $100-$200 more. I'm getting a 7ft Med Heavy for Spinner-baits.

From: Jamie: New Paris 6/8/20

Comments:Picked up a 7ft med and am so far impressed. I bough it to throw small cranks/rapalas with and paired it with a President xt and 10 CX Premium. Casts small hardbaits effortlessly and loads up nicely and I can feel the shimmy of the bait. Yet to see if I can boat flip a 6 pounder, but so far I'm happy.

Comments:I bought the 6'8" medium for a finesse rod for my kayak, I'm very impressed with how sensitive it is. You can feel the most lightest of bites on it, even on windy days. I liked it so much I bought some 7' medium rods for the boat.
