Overview
Representing a new and completely original surface lure category, the Z-Man Hellraizer is designed with a thin elongated body, belly line tie, and weighted tail blade to produce hard-cutting walking action as it spits water and creates a wealth of flashy attraction. Featuring an exclusive tail-propelled blade design, this unique topwater bait rises to the surface to create a tremendous commotion on slow retrieves while still retaining its true action when burned quickly across the surface.
Featuring a minimalist profile to provide excellent hookup ratios, the Hellraizer allows fish to take in the whole bait better than a traditional walking-style topwater and is perfectly weighted to provide long-distance castability. Available in a range of proven bass-catching colors, the Z-Man Hellraizer comes equipped with premium components, sticky-sharp treble hooks, and a feathered tail hook that matches each brilliant color scheme.

Comments: This top water is my go to top water lure. Great action and has landed many bass. The draw back to the lure is the wire that holds the trailing hook breaks off quite easily. If it gets bent use caution getting it straight again. Caught around 25 bass 2 to 5 pound range with it last night before the wire broke.

Comments: As much as it pains me to give this bait a thumbs up, Ughghh I've got to keep it fair & honest .. after 35 years on the water. I usually stay away from gimmicky stuff like this .. the same old same old catch the angler jargon. I'm a huge fan of Z-man so whatever - I'll try it. Wow, this zany/crazy topwater catches bass & striper .. once you find your mojo retrieving this bait just flat-out works .. maybe because it's so damn new to what bass is shown .. ?? Who knows .. all I know this weirdo freak works .. be patient & find your retrieve .. don't give up after a few casts - it's SO IMPORTANT you find the retrieve that's most appealing .. once you do .. you'll not forget it and show off for your boat mates .. added fun is watching them try with this bait - ha Gotta find that retrieve first !!!

Comments: Caught a 4lb. smallmouth on the second cast. Found that if I start my retrieval with the tip of my pole higher, it comes to the surface quicker. Great action. Used a red sharpie to color the underside of the nose on the bone color.

Comments: Used it for the first time on 10/16/22 and landed a 5.4 lb bass nice tight but side to side erratic action on top you def wanna get the handle turning as soon as it hits the water because it starts sinking pretty quick.

Comments: This bait really does have a one of a kind action. However, I do not find it difficult to start the retrieve. I give this a thumbs up.

Comments: Hellraizer has great action, but it is hard to get above the water to start the retrieve.
