Lews KVD combo is the best value out there!I fish the casting combo for top water and the spinning combo for drop shot, and these rods are the bomb! Sensitive and quick rods that cast as far as I want, with reels that are as good as it gets!

My worm rodIt is my go to Rod and set up for worm fishing, it is very sensitive and has enough backbone. I bought the reel to match (KVD) it is amazing together, I fish with it all the time. I have 8 Lew's reels I just need more rods to match. You should buy Lew's products, I have been fishing them for 25 years!

Best 7’ MH on the marketOwn 2 GC4’s and a few other Kvd rods. Love them. The GC4 is rated fast but has a good tip. You can use it on a ton of applications.

Comments: I have the GC2 6'10" MH jerkbait rod and it's awesome, perfect for jerkbaits or any other bait that you are twitching the tip of the rod. I have it paired up with the KVD LFS reel and its great, a little heavy, but not bad to fish over a long period of time.

From: Jerrod: California 7/19/23

Comments: I have got gc2 and gc4 and the gc4, named all ourpose reaction, is my FAVORITE JINK ROD do it all! It handles big spinnerbaits, buzzbait, propbaits, swimbait, swimjigs, jigs, Carolina and Texas rig. The sof tip makes easy to cast, load well and makes great detection of bites. Then you have plenty of backbone to land big fish. Its just my favorite do it all rod Vs my more specialized rods like evergreen, megabass and daiwa. Price is amazing for quality of blanks

From: Eros : Milan, italy 7/12/23

Comments: While I like this rod, it is heavier than I had thought it would be and it gets tiring after a while. A well made product that should last a long time though and at a good price point.

From: Chip: Prattville, AL 6/27/23

Comments: I bought the 7' med hvy and it works great. Use it for my chatterbaits, spinners, and lipless. Don't know what makes a rod good but I catch fish with it.

From: Matthew: Montgomery, TX 3/30/23

Comments: Really like these rods, I have several. They are priced right, love the fact they are technique specific and they look good also! Overall I'd say I'm very satisfied!

From: Mike: Phoenix, Arizona 2/5/23

Comments: I love the looks of this rod. I got the 7'2 medium heavy extra fast dock skipping/ frog rod. The action feels more on the heavy side, but I don't mind it. I would rather it be a little stiffer than it says than it being a pool noodle. Weight wise the rod is okay, I think the balance is a little off because of the short handle but not something that is a deal breaker for me. I've caught a couple of fish on it and the action feels great. Sensitivity is pretty decent but for the price this rod is awesome.

From: Jake: Jonesboro, Arkansas 1/27/23

Comments: Love these rods. Priced well and they have decent sensitivity. I like the shorter handles, as I'm under six feet tall. They're very lightweight and built nicely. I can fish all day and they do not wear me out. Great job Lews.

From: Brooks: Pennsylvania 1/19/23

Comments: Was looking for a jerkbait rod and wanted to go with something more budget oriented. This is an absolute fabulous rod for the money. I paired it with a tournament MB on 12 lb floro and boy was it money. Definitely going to get another one for the deck.

From: Bryce: Kensington Maryland 11/20/22

Comments: Have six of these rod and reel combinations. This last purchased the rod snapped on the second cast with a buzzbait. Only issue so far that I have had. Should send it back but it's not worth the effort. Still love these rods

From: Donnie: Arlington, TX 10/4/22

Comments: Nice rod it looks amazing. I HATE the keeper idk why they think it's better on the handle where you put your hands to hold it doesn't make any sense to me lol. Other then that it's very nice super light in hand and sensitive.

From: Unknown: 8/3/22

Comments: i recently just purchased Lew's KVD IM8 Casting Rod 7'6" Extra Hvy. i have to say i am very happy with it. i used it recently flipping hydrilla mats and it worked flawlessly my second bite was a pig 10.88lbs and this rod crushed it. i have it paired with a lews Speed Spool LFS Casting Reel and 65lb Suffix 832 braid

From: Paul: Florida 7/25/22

Comments: I have a love hate relationship with this rod. Purchased the 7 foot md fast rod. Pros: love the looks, love the action (stiffer) durable rod. sensitive. cons. I hate how short the handle is. ABSOLUTELY hate the the hook keeper. I had to cut it off. the rod feels heavy but I think that's because its not balanced well its tip heavy since the handles are short. that alone makes me not want to pick up the rod as much but always end up using.

From: Leo: Illinois 4/9/22

Comments: I love this rod it is so light you can cast all day and not get arm weary. It is a very sensitive rod you feel the lightest bites. It casts a mile with the KVD bait caster reel. I love this combo. I have been out twice with it and have caught 8 nice large mouth bass. You can't beat it for the price. I would highly recommend this combo . Another quality product from Lews.

From: Guy: Michigan 4/2/22

Comments: Great rod for the price. Has a nice feel and balance. I have mine set up with a Daiwa CR80 reel... makes a great combination.

From: Walt: Conroe, TX 3/22/22

Comments: This rod is your typical 100. dollar rod...not light, not sensitive, old school graphite at IM8, ok for the newbie on a budget, just to get started....

From: Bobby: Florida 2/26/22

Comments: Lews with help from KVD have made a great line of rods that us none professionals can afford. Very light, well balanced and work just like KVD says in his videos. I now have 8 of this series.

From: Gary: Titusville, FL 2/13/22

Comments: Friend and I each purchased one of these rods at Christmas, my 7' MH from TW arrived new with tags and packed well but there was a 'thin' spot in the blank about 3 inches from the tip that you could noticeably feel between your fingers. I first noticed it while leaned against the wall from several feet away it looked "bent". It was not cracked or broken, just thin and bent appearing. Never seen such before. I sent it back to TW with prepaid shipping and got a refund. My friend ordered his from another store, and the tip was broken upon arrival. I won't buy another one.

From: J: Unknown 1/23/22

Comments: I sold all my St. Croix rods for these at this price you can't beat it. Lew's could easily charge $200 for these. The jerkbait rod has a really nice short grip so you can work the bait without bumping the butt stock into yourself and it feeling awkward.

From: Scottie: Middletown, OH 12/27/21

Comments: I replaced a Dobbyns flip/pitch rod with this rod and couldn't be happier. Much lighter but similar backbone. It is excellent for fishing 1/2 ounce jigs. I have it paired with a Daiwa flip/pitch reel and 50 lb. power pro. A great choice.

From: Jack: Florida 12/16/21

Comments: Very happy with the rod performance. However, I don't like the hook keeper location All rod manufacturers need to figure out a better location. Maybe think outside the box

From: Paul: Belle glade, FL 12/13/21

Comments: I bought the 6'8 jerk bait rod it's been a great rod! I definitely recommend this rod has a great action and can fish it all day paired with a lews custom lite

From: Julio: Unknown 11/5/21

Comments: Just bought the 7'2 medium heavy (GC5). I've used it three times. It has a good feel for frogging and swim jigs. Appears to be great rod for the price. I say appears only b/c it's to early to know how it holds up.

From: Mike: Arkansas 10/24/21

Comments: I purchased the 7'6 extra heavy for punching and frogging in heavy weeds. This rod stands up to these conditions very well. I recommend buying one. They also have matching reels that work well too.

From: David: South Bend, Indiana 10/22/21

Comments: Great packaging, kept it safe Rod lives up to expectations Caught several bass already great balance and feel

From: Lewis: Unknown10/7/21

Comments: I was a little scared about ordering this rod. I never had a chance to put my hands on it but once I took it out of the rapper an got to touch it for the first time I new it was a good rod. Already caught about 10 bass with it. Just can't believe how well balance an light weight it is.

From: Johnny: Wrens, GA 9/21/21

Comments: I purchased a Lew's KVD IM8 X-Heavy X-fast 7'6" casting rod a while back & wanted to use it multiple times before giving an opinion. The main intent was to us it as a frog rod along with other heavier baits. My main concern before I received it was that it would be like a broom stick & I am very happy to say it is not. The rod is very light, cast very well & handle fish extremely well with plenty of feel & is not bulky at all. This is a quality rod at a very reasonable price, much cheaper than other rods that I was considering.

From: Tim: Racine, Ohio 9/17/21

Comments: Rod is really nice. I got this rod for pitching and flipping, as well as my main jig rod. Rod sensitivity seems awesome for the price. The rod has a shorter handle, but I prefer that as I fish from a kayak. The guides are smaller than any of my other rods, which is my only "negative" since I run leader line on my setups the smaller guides are harder on my leader knots. The only qualm I really have is that these rods are always out of stock. I had originally ordered the 7'4" MH but after waiting 3+ months, I couldn't wait anymore and opted to swap out for this 7'2" MH rod. Glad I did though since it's moving towards the the top of my list of favorite rods!

From: Dan: Milwaukee, WI 8/16/21

Comments: So far so good in regards to the performance of this rod. The big thumbs down would have to be the hook keeper, couldn't be in a worse place.

From: Mark: New Hill, NC 8/12/21

Comments: I got the the7'2"MH rod. I have it paired with a Daiwa tulula reel. It cast well, the grip is nice and sensitivity is good. Like it a lot.

From: Dave: Camdenton, MO 7/29/21

Comments: Worst possible place to put a hook keeper , ruins the whole rod imo.

From: John: Lakeland, FL 7/29/21

Comments: First rod I've ordered fromTW. I always been worried about the shipping and receiving a damaged rod. The packaging was great. Rod arrived in perfect condition, and I'm very pleased with my purchase. I've always liked Lews and KVD, so when they came together, it was a dream come true for me.

From: Gerry: Henderson, TN 7/29/21

Comments: Excellent rod. Tackle Warehouse was careful to package it well and it arrived in excellent condition.

From: Unknown: 7/18/21

Comments: I dropped a couple thousand on reels and rods and this is exactly as described. Smooth and sweet, recommended by Lee Winkler whom is an amazing Bass guide. Iâve been a Lewâs owner since 1976 or so purchasing my first BB1. Man this company is amazing and the gear is as good as it gets. Thanks for hanging in there and making a quality product.

From: Harry: Nashville, TN 5/22/21

Comments: This rod is crazy sensitive and just feels incredible in the hand. Really makes me wonder why some people feel the need to spend three times this much on a rod. The 7'0" MH Fast action is definitely on the heavier end of medium-heavy. It has a great backbone for knockout punch hooksets, but I can still cast a weightless senko with accuracy.

From: Evan: California 5/17/21

Comments: I bought the 7'2" MH. Been mostly using it for texas rigs. I love this rod. It's light, but still has good backbone! Super sensitive! The bass here in Ohio tend to hit very softly, and so far this year I have not missed a bite. Would definitely recommend!

From: Phil: Ohio 5/4/21

Comments: I'll start with the only negative first. I feel that the butt is a tad shorter than I like. I have the GC5 and love the Rod! It is light enough to get the job done with lighter baits but also strong enough for solid hook sets. I do feel like I have good control with target casting. Beautiful Rod too!

From: Adam: West Virginia 4/23/21

Comments: I bought the 7'2 mh extra fast looking for a texas rig/ jig rod and was a little worried about the sensitivity but i got the perfect rod for what j wanted it to do- overall i give it a 10/10 i would recommend.

From: Carter 4/8/21

Comments: I really like the rod, but reel to butt is a little short for me.

From: Richard, FL 2/27/21

Comments: Haven't got to use the rod yet due to weather but the rod is light well balanced i got the GC6 7'4 Med hvy this rod could easily sell for 150 plus at the 100 range this rod feels better than the st croix and dobyns which cost more.

From: AJ: Virginia 2/19/21

Comments: Ordered one of these rods and turned around and ordered 3 more. For 99 bucks you can not go wrong. Frog, tx rig, spinner bait, swim jig, this rod is very universal. no complaints with these rods at all.

From: Bradley: Texas 1/30/21

Comments: Good rod not as heavy as I thought I bought 7 ft m/h 2 oz use for senkos was going to use for frog, but not heavy enough.

From: Raymond: Fort Lauderdale, FL 1/11/21

Comments: What a great deal on a rod that should $150, light well built shorter handle and very sensitive, and I absolutely love it I would say best deal of the year for $99 Great Job KVD and Lews!

From: Joe: North Carolina 1/2/21

Comments: I purchased the cranking rod, I believe it's 7'3" Medium heavy fast action. Anyway I bought this and the kvd reel for my girlfriends brother for Christmas. When it came in I was jealous and wanted to keep it for myself. The colors are beautiful, have yet to try it out yet but is light and feels good. Did my research online and everyone says it's no joke kvd designed this rod and reel and it performs!

From: Aaron: 1/1/21

Comments: Got a spinning, cranking, and extra heavy rods this year and mixed reviews going on. For this one went with 7'6" extra heavy for flipping in the this stuff. All around decent rod for the price I think. Hand grips suck tho. Top is just cheap feeling in hand and lower is too small. It's a lews rod put lews grips on it all I'm saying. The reel seats are better then most tho love the feel and sensitivity ya get. The soft outer screw lock for the reel seat I even appreciate, I can't stand the rough plastic one. The beefy rod tips looks like just an added layer of resin. Thanks but that should just come standard at this point I think. Haven't got to fish it yet being in the cold but excited to see it in action. My favorite rod thus far is the spinning rod. Not one thing bad to say about it at all. By far my new favorite  finesse set up. Crank rod balance is just weird feeling in hand and just not sure on it yet but being KVD I guess I just had high hopes and sadly disappointed really. Lews old perfect crankbait rod is better if ya ask me. Actions on all seem good tho and purpose built.

From: Noah: Illinois 1/1/21

Comments: Bought this a couple of months ago and I am pleased. Feels great in hand, comfortable and has good action. Bought it as my jerkbait rod and I'll be getting more. Good price, good feel and quality seems well.

From: James: Texas 12/28/20

Comments: Great action super fast tip great for skipping and flipping and I also use it for big Texas rigs and big shake heads plenty of backbone to gettem in the boat its gonna be a great sale item because it has KVD on it too.

From: Joe B: 12/21/20

Comments: Although a relative beginner, I wanted to move from my initial spinning rig to a baitcasting rig.Even though I'm in a love-hate relationship with the KVD reel, I love the feel, weight, balance, length, and stiffness of the KVD rod,Fantastic!

From: Unknown: Chapel Hill, NC 11/30/20

Comments:Just got the KVD 7', All-Purpose Reaction rod, MH-Fast, and like the first reviewer, I was blown away. The rod is simply beautiful! And for a $100 rod the workmanship is top end. It's light with a strong butt and nice tip - about an 80-20 flex. I find it a perfect target rod for spinnerbaits and chatterbaits, and also the perfect jig rod. Be aware, however, that it does have a shorter handle, and the hook keeper seems to be in the wrong place for a short handle. I removed mine.

From: Paul: Reedsburg, WI 10/28/20

Comments: Just received in the 7' multipurpose rod rated 1/4-2oz MH-Fast and must admit...I'm impressed. It's lighter than I expected for a 2oz rated rod yet handles qtr oz swimjigs with ease. It'll cast 1oz glide baits like a dream; the way it loads.I know KVD's promo vids will have him telling you how fussy he is about his equipment...well I'm starting to believe it.I have premium rods like poison adrenas and daiwa steez machineguncast iii rods etc...But, if I was going to replace my rod lineup today it would be with these. They are shorter grip rods which is what I prefer...believe just a touch over 13" handles. They're basically identical to his quantum line of rods with regard to handle lengths.I've already tested this rod to see how it would handle pitching 3/8-1/2 jigs, tossing light 1/4oz swimjigs, 1oz glidebaits, 1/2oz chatterbaits...it might be the best multipurpose rod I've ever used.Scratch that...it is!For $99...I'm kind of blown away right now.KVD/Lew's...you nailed this one
