Overview

As the all-time money winner on the Bassmasters tournament trail, Kevin VanDam knows a-thing-or-two about utilizing every second of a tournament, which is exactly what the Mustad KVD Fastach Clip is made to do. Built with a twist connection on one end, the Mustad KVD Fastach Clip gives anglers the ability to swap out lures with the simple turn of the wrist, so no time is spent re-tying. Made with the same quality as Mustad's premium hooks, the Mustad KVD Fastach Clip gives anglers a dependable connection that increases efficiency and results in more time spent fishing.

Comments: Great clips, sturdy, reliable, and convenient. Watch out for sharp ends though. Also, it's a damn shame that the swivel version is no longer sold here.

From: Michael: Illinois 5/14/23

Comments: These things are great! I use them on almost everything and have had zero issues. #1 for bass.

Comments: Here is another application for a Fast clip, I sometime use these on swimbaits like a 10" Magdraft for example. It allows you to easily move your hook back with a secure easy to use connection.

Comments: Solid product, strong & EZ to work... If you like throwing Top Water Walking and Popping Baits, and want to get rid of the Loop Knot ? this is a great option

From: Cito: California 7/3/21

Comments: By far, the best clip I have used. If your like me and find it a pain to keep tying and re-tying baits then these are for you. I have tried several other snaps, clips, and swivels and none will compare to these. With the others they are either too big, too fat, too cumbersome or fail staying intact. Hooks with weed guards take up some of the eyelet so some fast clips wont work well. These clips don't have problems with that because of the single wire. Some cranks are hard to attach because of the split ring. I either remove the split ring or just bypass it when attaching. Besides, bypassing/removing the split ring with the clip would be the same as a direct tie to the split ring. I currently use size 1 and seems adequate for most cranks and lures but I am going to get some bigger ones for larger cranks and jigs.

Comments: GREAT. I put these on all of my crankbaits. makes switching colors easier and they have never had any issues

From: Unknown: 9/5/20

Comments: I love these things. They are strong but stealthy. I use size o for all my pond fishing. I'm getting older and the eyes and finger dexterity are waning. These are a godsend, a lot fewer knots to tie. Subsequently I try more baits and up my catch rate. win win

From: Chuck: West Milford 7/20/20

Comments: I found these 3 years ago and been using them for everything I fish for and have never lost a fish due to Fastach failure. I use the size #0 for trout and size #1 for bass and anything else I fish for. If for some reason I'm using some larger lures I sometimes use the #2 size. Really makes changing out to different hooks and lures a breeze. Really a great option if you get tired of tying on your baits all the time.

From: Brian: Pennsylvania 1/7/20

Comments: Great product - I use the clips on my reaction bait set up, makes switching baits fast and easy. Can be a bit difficult with certain o-rings, typically the oval fashion or the thick o-rings like on yo-zuri square bills. They do lose their rigidity over time but you get 12 in a pack. If you're losing baits with this clip, it's because you didn't apply the bait to the clip correctly.

Comments: Great for ice fishing (use size 0 fits the smallest hole on ice jigs), it sure beats hurting your fingertips trying to play around with the speedy snaps in the cold winter days and yes it does add that extra action with the free play loop. I also use these for all my bass fishing applications (size 1) even spinnerbaits and specifically on my topwater poppers. It beats having to retie all the time and adds that free swinging play (which makes it harder for the bass to spit the hook) and motion to my topwater lures then using a rapala loop knot all the time that you have to remember how to tie every time and it's not to heavy to the point where it weighs down the front, then after using I leave the fastach onto the popper for the next time. I will warn you all, if used in weedy areas you will draw salad along with the rest of the lure as it's brought back to you as you reel it in. Small tip: by attaching 2 fastach together (one to the popper and the other to your line) makes it easier with the poppers to attach instead of retying again.

Comments: I use these all the time for Crappie fishing, and they are a real time save when you are trading out jigs.  Never have lost a jig on the cast, and they are very durable.  They also add extra action to your jig, and produce more crappie.  I wouldn't go fishing without them!

Comments: Looking elsewhere this year for a quick clip.  Bought this one and ended up loosing multiple lures due to them coming off on the cast.

From: Ryan P 1/18/17

Comments: great for ice fishing. dozen lures and 1 pole great for panfish jigging

From: Unknown: 1/13/17

Comments: These clips are a game changer. For people who don't like wasting time during they're rotation these are a must have! Easy to use, strong dependable, one knot & endless lure/bait options, if i had extra thumbs these clips would get em.

From: JP: Williamsport, PA 8/21/16

Comments: Great product beats out the speed clip hands down, never fails, with one rod I can change lures in a heat beat.
