Overview
Designed with a goal to create a competition-level reel using the input and angling experience of BASS Elite Series pro Gerald Swindle, the 13 Fishing Inception G2 Casting Reels are a comprehensive reel series built to handle everything GMAN could throw at it. Constructed with a rigid high-strength HD aluminum frame, the 13 Fishing Inception G2 casting reel is a fish-catching workhorse with a robust 22lb Bulldog drag that has the power to stop big fish dead in their tracks.
Providing the ultimate operability with a low-friction 6-Way centrifugal braking system and EVA tech handle knobs, on-the-water adjustments can easily be made using the Beetle Wing rapid access side plate. A unique series featuring a variety of pro-tuned specifications, the 13 Fishing Inception G2 Casting Reels are built with everything you need in terms of gearing, handles, gear ratios, and capacities so you are ready for any situation you may encounter on your way to the top.

The G Man reelI just bought a second one the other day, my first one I have on my chatterbait rod, my first fish on it was a 6.75lb channel cat that was NOT HAPPY about being hooked, this reel took it like a champ, and I’ve landed many more good bass on it as well. Drag clicker is fantastic, casts pretty far, is a great reel for $150. The only reason why I’m giving it 4.75 stars (I wish I could really do that instead of just a 4) instead of 5 is actually a couple reasons. It took me a while to get it dialed in, it was VERY finicky at first, backlashed extremely easy (before you ask yes I know how to use a baitcaster), but now that it’s dialed in and has been broken in some I don’t have that problem. It does feel a little geary for a lack of a better term, I mainly use Shimano reels so it’s a little bit different for me, not bad though, I’m sure if I opened it up and oiled it that would fix it right up. My one real gripe though is a couple weeks ago I had set it down and the hook keeper came off, disappeared on me. So that’s a little frustrating. That and the decals/graphics on it seem to rub off kinda easy. Could just be me though. I’d say it gets a 4.75/5 really, gonna put the zero bearings in one of mine because frankly I wanna see what happens!
Awesome reelI’ve been using this for jig fishing, this reel has been an absolute workhouse. Couldn’t recommend it more to anyone. Paired it up with the meta 7’2 MH Moderate Fast and it’s a match made in heaven.

Comments: I was highly impressed with this reel 6.6 took it flounder fishing ended up hooking up to a 8ft skate/ray I was able to horse him off the bottom after he buried himself drag was on full send and it never skipped a beat definitely a high quality reel at a decent price

Comments: frame looks and feels is like a $50 reel but works and reels like a $200 reel good feel on the rod not bulky can palm very comfortably easy to set brake controls with nice side cover access.
