Comments: the best reel on the market for the beginner angler, i have 3 and they have far outperformed shimano slx mgl and shimano curado reels in smoothness drag casting and overall preformance

Comments: Beats all the competition in this price range hands down. I prefer this reel to any Shimano less than $200. Beats all three of my SLX's. It's just as smooth, more reliable (I've had it longer than my three SLX's, and one of them is already trashed) and this casts better. Not quite as good in the casting department as my SLX DC but close enough to blow your mind at the price point. On top of that they managed to cram 18lbs of drag into this reel and the drag is fairly smooth too. Can't beat that for $60. Looks a little cheesy imo with the red grips, but the bass don't look at your reel. Since I was in the market for an inexpensive baitcaster, I tried multiple other reels in this price range and this one is in a different tier completely. That being said, I only own one, and I could be lucky to have one that has held up so well. Quality control really seems hit or miss with every company these days.

Comments: Again, good reel for the money, have had mine for several years with no issues. They need to go back to the black handle grips however, the red ones? not a good idea...That being said, I upgraded my handles to a larger size from Amazon, work fantastic. Use for everything from Texas rigs to frogs to flipping, don't underestimate the price point.

Comments: Great for the money. Handles 1 pound pond bass with no problems. I will be adding more to my collection. Abu for Life.

Comments: Needed a cheap reel for a top water set up, so I decided to pick up one of these. For the price, you honestly can't beat this reel. I wouldn't say it's amazing, but it has yet to let me down. It's extremely durable, and has yet to give me any issues. I oil it every 3 weeks or so. If you're like me and can't afford to buy a top quality reel for every rod you own, and just need something that works, this is the perfect reel for you. Just keep in mind the price point you're purchasing in, and you will not be disappointed.
