Overview
Designed by Elite Series pro “Big Fish” Bobby Lane, the Berkley Powerbait Grass Pig Swimbait is made for pulling hog-sized bass out of heavy cover. Swim the Berkley Powerbait Grass Pig Swimbait by clumps of weeds or on top of weed lines to entice violent strikes from bass lying in shallow areas, or in deeper water, slow your retrieve down to find suspended or bottom-dwelling monsters. Its specially designed body and tail allow you to fish it as slow as you want and still produce that irresistible wiggle.
A versatile swimbait, you can rig the Berkley Powerbait Grass Pig Swimbait in a variety of ways - on a weighted swimbait hook, Florida-rigged, on an offset wide gap hook, or on a jighead. Finished with the proven Powerbait scent and available in all of Bobby’s favorite colors, the Berkley Powerbait Grass Pig Swimbait is a must-have for anglers looking to catch the biggest bass.

Comments: I put a 3.5" on a 1/8oz jig head and was ready to slay em! I watched it swim through the water...the tail was not swimming. Threw them in the trash. Put on my old standby RI lil dipper...started catching fish.

Comments: They are tougher plastic however, they last a while and the only one that action is a little less on is the 3.5. Still has solid action for the durability and the powerbait scent. Plus it's the best swimbait on a Texas rig by far.

Comments: I miss the old grass pigs!! They were soft but durable and had plenty of action, either belly rigged or as a jig trailer with a big cut off the head. The Powerbait plastic kills the action and can make them more difficult to rig. Granted they last longer as they are more durable, however, the action has fallen to the wayside with the new plastic.

Comments: Love these things as a trailer on a chatterbait and the northerns just cant stay away from them.

Comments: This thing is so depressing, no action. Literally fish a senko as a swim bait instead, this thing is like a straight rubber stick.

Comments: The power bait version is too stiff! They ruined a good bait. It is pretty much just a trailer now and that is about it. It isn't even the best at that due to the lack of action.

Comments: It's to bad they only make these in the power bait version now. I've been fishing these for years with great success, but the plastic in the power bait are totally different, and in my opinion no way as good as the originals. Sometimes I wish they would just leave well enough alone. My catch rate is about 1/ 10 of those originals. Personally not a fan of anything power bait.
