Comments: I really love my Levante 6'11" Jerk bait special I decided to buy the rod after watch a video on youtube about it and I'm glad I did! It's perfect for the Vision 110 that is what I throw on it. I want to buy a 110 +1 and see how it throws that but for now I can say it is the perfect rod for the 110.

From: Will: Ca 5/31/23

Comments: Love the diablo spec r. Super versatile rod, I paired it with curado dc with braid to walk a vixen and now I only throw walking topwaters on it. Great rod for reaction baits in the weight class it was designed for, but for me this the perfect 1/2-3/4oz topwater rod.

From: Ryan: Ca, Delta 5/9/23

Comments: Got the Diablo, been casting 1/4 swimbaits and hooking lots of Northerns....rated for 3/8 but plenty sensitive for 1/4 jigheads....Gotta say pretty light and sensitive makes me want to try the top shelf....Happy with this rod as it is a good all around rod

From: Jimmy: Chicago 9/4/22

Comments: I got the 7'5 brailist and it is the most sensitive rod I have by far. I have it paired with a Curado 150 and it feels a little tip heavy compared to all my other rods. I've gotten around this by fishing with my rod tip down and dragging more. Another con is the grip is pretty small for my liking. But like it says it's great for Texas rigs and jigs and I can feel every little thing on the bottom with it.

From: Zion: CA 4/5/22

Comments: I'm a huge fan of the perfect pitch. I pitch a lot with smaller, lighter baits and 20 ln floro. This rod is great for that. Only drawback...no hook keeper. Kind of lame but I still love this well balanced and light weight rod!

From: Jason: Unknown 11/1/21

Comments: Got the Flatside Special and the Perfect Pitch both are great rods. The Flatside Special and the Perfect Pitch is a great feeling rod. They are not to heavy when paired with a Shimano reels. I use the Flatside Special for crankbaits and topwater and jerkbaits so far. I was the Perfect Pitch for frogs and jigs and texas rig and the dark sleeper. So far I dont have anything bad to say about the Megabass Levante Flatside Special or the Perfect Pitch. I plan on getting couple more like the Jerkbait Special, Aklys or EMTF.

From: Unknown: Leavenworth, KS 8/16/21

Comments: I got the jerkbait special 2020 version the rod is one of the most coolest looking rods out there and if this is your first time getting in the higher end rods it's not a bad start I purchased it for the pop max lure and topwater moving baits the rod is is light but unbalanced and top heavy I tried using 4 different baitcasters and could not find a good balance point but I could say am a little snobby but this did not wow me better rods out there for the price point but on looks nothing compares

Comments: I got the Diablo Spec R for my first Megabass Levante. It is a great all around rod. I use it for everything spinnerbaits, tubes, lipless, buzzbaits  small crankbaits, flukes, wacky rig and others things. If you are looking for your first Megabass you should try this rod. I have it paired with a Shimano Curado 151 DC(6.2:1). Its very sensitive on those lite bites and it has the power to set hooks a long distance. Like it so much I order the Flat Side Special and the Perfect Pitch and got it in today so I can test them out this weekend. Will let you know how they are late next week.

From: M.Noell: Leavenwort. KS 7/29/21

Comments: Got the braillist...WOW! Spectacular rod...action is perfect for jigs and T-rigs.

From: Dennis: 5/13/21

Comments: Got the revised 2020 Leviathan, it's a 2p stick and separates above the lock nut. Weights 6.31 ounces on my scale, that's about the same as my old Dobyns DX746 rod. Yet, it's longer and made to jug swimbaits. The bend of the rod is for glidebaits. The sweet spot is 1oz to 6oz, it'll chug a Deps 250 fine, but I wouldn't go over 7oz, as the tip fairly soft for a swimbait stick. Don't waste your money on Dobyns Champions and iRods, this is the rod to get at $200.

From: John: Minnesota 4/7/21

Comments: I have quite a few Orochi XXs and love them. Unfortunately, Megabass thought that the rounded butt wasn't important and ditched it when they redesigned it. LAME. So, I bought a bunch more rods from a bunch of different manufacturers, never really falling for any of them. That was until I saw the new Levante! I snagged the Flat Side Special and have been throwing a variety of moving baits with it. Holy cow is this a killer rod. Great feel, light weight, great build using quality components, and backed by Megabass... what more could you want? Oh! A great price? It's got that too! I'll be filling my boat with a few more Levantes

From: Unknown: 3/17/21

Comments: One of the best rod lines on the market. The Perfect Pitch, Braillist, and Diablo Spec Type R are literally all you need but they are also very good 1 technique rods if that's what you're looking to do as well. These and the Zodias are extremely hard to beat for the price.

From: Unknown: Indiana 12/23/20

Comments: I got the 7'2" Diablo Spec-R and its getting returned. I was very disappointed.  The rod would be good in the $100-120 range. The blank is pretty much identical to the 13 Fishing Black Omen rods, and the entire build strongly reminds me of a Dobyns Fury. People say this blank is more of a MH than a M, im telling you for your own good, its more of a H than a MH. Rods too stiff  the reel seat thread had some choppy cuts on it, its a little tip heavy, for the stiffness of the blank the components used for the butt and reel seat seem underpowered. I was highly disappointed.  I thought I was going to be blown away as this was my first Megabass rod. I will try a higher end Megabass model at some point, but this one is not going to cut it.  Not to mention the made in Korea part, I thought these MegaBass rods were made in Japan.

From: Bill: Fort Lauderdale, FL 12/11/20

Comments: These rods are very light and sensitive but could be cheaper. I have broken two flatside specials ridiculously easy. Megabass replaces them quick but I wouldn't buy a flatside special if I was you. One of mine literally broke when trying to snap a square bill out of the rocks. The other broke when hook setting on a small smallmouth. I cant speak for the other rods but I can for this one.

From: Jess: Clarksville, TN 9/1/19

Comments: I got the 2019 Levante braillist, and this rod is phenomenal for the price point. I have two orochii's XX and I personally like the Levante better it's lighter and just as sensitive for a lower price point. The braillist is the perfect rod for jig fishing especially in a deep water scenario it has enough backbone to drive a solid hook set into them but the tip is perfect for keeping big ones pinned. These rods are also very strong so far i have boat flipped an 8.2, 7.9, and 7.6 without any problems. Overall a fantastic rod

From: Aric: Arkansas 4/16/19

Comments: Just recieved my new extreme mission paired with a curado k. First off this rod is huge improvement over previous gen because the taper and power are much more refined. Perfect for ripping 1oz lipless cranks thru grass or throwing large squarebills. Im quite impressed with the level of performance and action. Perfect tip and plenty of backbone to handle giant bass. Quite sensitive too Well done megabass!!

From: Unknown: 4/3/19

Comments: Just received my 2019 jerk bait special. I have the flat side special from the first generation and in my opinion there is no comparison. This thing is lighter than my zodias. The action and feel is very similar to megabass' more expensive offerings. I am very impressed. The first gen levante was and is an awesome rod. It's crazy that they put this much into this new version and kept it at the same price. You even get a free rod bag! Time will tell if it can hold its own, but I am confident that this new series will get it done.

From: BassWhacker: Wisconsin 3/20/19

Comments: Got the shakey head and it is a great spinning rod.  When the rod arrived from Tackle warehouse and i held the rod it seemed a little heavy at the front end.  But once i added a Daiwa Ballistic 2500 reel it balanced out perfect.  Nice action also. Not too stiff not too soft.  Just right!  Just don't care for the hook keeper.  Why are rod companies so prone to adding this style hook keeper??  Go big or go home is my philosophy. Hook keeper my only complaint. Otherwise great rod.

From: Jason: Ohio 1/5/19

Comments: The Leviathan model is insane!!! I don't know how people complain about it, it's the best rod I've ever used. I use mine for big swimbaits and all my jigs. Sensitivity crazy good, I've had some LIGHT bites that I could still feel, and it handles fish great. The taper is right between a Mod/Fast and Fast, which means it loads nicely but still has plenty of backbone. So far I caught a couple of 4's and a few 3's on the Baby Wake and jigs, and I could grind them in just fine. Give it a shot!

From: Noah: Vancouver 7/30/18

Comments: I got the leviathan 7'11' rod for Alabama rigs and swimbaits, it's extremely refined and well crafted using great components. It was lighter than I thought it would be and Eva foam grip is feels better than cork to me. This is the best rod in its price range, nothing comes close not even a dobyns sierra can match the quantity in this rod.

From: Ryan: Texas 4/9/18

Comments: These rods could have been great. Instead, they are just average. They're not bad, but for their price point there are better offerings to be sure. However, if you want that Megabass/JDM vibe but don't want to spend 300+ dollars, these might be worth your while. The rods that are over 7 foot are a bit unbalanced and tip heavy, even with a reel attached. One rod in the lineup I can't recommend at all is the Tour Versatile. It's very unbalanced and the action is all wrong. To me, it was unusable for just about anything, no matter what lure or technique I tried. The better rods in the lineup are the Spinnerbait Special, Flat Side Special, and Diablo Spec R. The Perfect Pitch is serviceable, but compared to the XX model it's not even close. Bothers me to leave a not so good review for Megabass, because I have so few complaints about any of their products from lures to rods, but this series just isn't up to snuff. Hopefully they'll revamp and restart the series at some point! Would be great to have a modestly priced MB stick without having to buy JDM or special order.

From: DBH: Pennsylvania  2/7/18

Comments: I have 3 of these rods. The Spec R, Tour, and there Drop Shot Rod. They are by far my favorite rods they very sensitive and for the money your not going to get a better rod. I have been fishing with these rods send they first come out and I haven't had one issue. They are very well made and I plan on getting up in the Destroyer series next even tho for what these rods had to offer I don't know if there is a need to. You will not be disappointed.

From: Cody: NC 9/25/17

Comments: Own both the Flat-side special and Shaky head Rod. Both are absolutely phenomenal. Excellent strength, sensitivity, and style. Balance very well and are comfortable to hold all day. Value comes to mind immediately when thinking about these rods. Only disappointment is they don't have any finesse casting models.

From: Andrew: North Little Rock, Arkansas 9/4/17

Comments: I have the tour versatile paired with a tatula jdm HLC. Use it for small swimbaits, jigs, frogs, chatterbaits and sometimes heavy spinner baits. Definitey a stiff rod but has good sensitivity. Definitely buying the leviathan for mesium size swimbaits and a diablo spec r for jerk baits

From: Greg: Enfield CT 9/3/17

Comments: Purchased the Tour Versatile. Great overall finish to the rod. Looks really really sexy. Light-weight BUT it's a tip heavy rod. I personally didn't feel comfortable with the reel seat so I sold the rod away. Still a great rod for the price but just not for me.

From: XENKO: Wisconsin 3/19/17

Comments: Purchased the Diablo Spec R and absolutely love it for swim jigs. I would consider it a MH/F & it does a fantastic job. I'm impressed with the quality & price point, so much so that I might even pick up the Perfect Pitch.

From: Dan: Spokane, WA 5/26/16

Comments: I purchased the Flat Side Special, excellent tip that transitions into a blank with plenty of power, nice parabolic bend to it, plenty sensitive, light & pretty well balanced with a Chronarch CI4+ on it, if you want a cranking rod that's all graphite & no glass in it which I prefer, this rod is sweet, the build quality is instantly apparent, loaded with JDM visual appeal, looks like a much more expensive rod, think ill get the Perfect Pitch next, way to go MegaBass for making a rod this nice for 200.00.

From: Joe: Portland, ME 5/3/16

Comments: It has a lot of action to it but still has the backbone you need to land the lunkers. Excellent feel & light weight for use all day. I used it for deep water jigs & spoons during the tournament & I could really feel what was going on down below.

From: Randy: Phoenix, AZ 1/21/16

Comments: extreme mission the shiz! Awesome stick if you are looking for a utility rod don't look any further. Senkos, ikas, rattletraps, topwaters, light t-rigs, chatterbaits this rod can fire your baits for distance & has got the bones to drive the hooks deep! The tip flex very well to absorb those heads hake & keeps those trebles from tearing out. Honestly my favorite rattletrap/senkos rod ever!

From: Joshua: San Diego, CA 1/1/16

Comments: Bought the 7'11" Launcher. First things first: dont expect the quality of an +400$ rod just because it says "Megabass" on its handle. BUT the quality you get with the Levante is well worth THIS price, IMO. Guides are perfectly aligned, the rod is very light, and it handle the lures within its rating perfectly (heavier DD cranks are a bit cumbersome to fish). the only con i found for me personally, that the handle is a tad short. 1-2 inches extra would be perfect!

From: Matthew: Switzerland 12/29/15

Comments: Been fishing my 7'2" diablo spec r for the past two days. My first megabass rod.. Good action, basically a MH/F even though they call it regular. Lightweight and seems very durable, handled every fish no problem & the reel seat is comfortable.. but the sensitivity just isn't what I expected. I'll probably dedicate it to vibration baits like chatter baits & lipless cranks because even with 16lb FC Sniper I just can't feel enough for bottom baits like a jig.
