Overloaded with premium technologies, they are built on a one-piece graphite frame with graphite sideplates that feature a rich glow-orange paint scheme to minimize weight and maximize their visual appeal. Extending from the side of the reels are 95mm bowed anodized aluminum handles with Winn Dri-Tac knobs that promise unbeatable comfort and all-weather grip. The outside of the reels also support Zirconia line guides, external brake adjustments, and anodized aluminum U-shaped spools for a tournament-caliber experience.
Internally, the Lew's Mach Crush SLP Casting Reels are equally loaded with industry-leading components and hardware. High strength solid brass Speed Gears that are precision cut on Hamai CNC machines provide peerless durability and smooth operation under load. In addition to Lew’s Speed Gears, the reels also rely on a 10 Bearing System with stainless steel double shielded ball bearings for a buttery smooth feel every time you cast a line. A rugged carbon fiber drag system dishes out 20lbs of hawg-stopping drag power to wrangle even the grumpiest bass out of cover. The reels are rounded out with Zero Reverse one-way clutch bearings as well as Multi-Setting Brake systems that include internally adjustable centrifugal braking. Comments: I own seven of these reels. They have never failed me and I put them through the ringer. I fish in all weather and am very serious about my equipment. for the money I will put them up against anything.
