Comments: Long time Dobyns fanboy, but I've really gotten into the JDM game. I bought the Levante Whipsnake and Shakyhead. My experience has been solid. The Whipsnake is paired up with a Daiwa Tatula 2500. I throw Hazedong Shads w/ a Bredy Weedless Underspin, Zoom Finesse Trick Worms, Dropshots, Light Neko Rigs and Neds on a 10# braid to a 6# fluorocarbon leader. Talk about a finesse combo. The Whipsnake is strictly a light line and light lure rod. Wacky Rigs may be a touch too heavy I really wouldn't go over a 1/4oz. It is so sensitive you can feel every tick and to my surprise it does have a little power. The Shakyhead is a very nice rod, paired with a Shimano Miravel 2500. I throw Zoom Trick Worm Shakyheads, Wacky Rigs, 3" Spark Shad, and Tubes. I think it's a little stiff for a Medium Light, I'd give it more of a Medium Light Plus Fast rating. It's more power than it appears in specs. It handled big Lake Fork bass perfectly fine, I even boat flipped a few un consciously. I'm a little confused why Megabass didn't make the Whipsnake into a Medium Light and the Shakyhead a Medium. It may be just a labling deal, who knows. Overall, you can't go wrong with either rod, I'm very happy with both.

Comments: These are great rods! I owned the Levante Whipsnake and it was my go to neko, senko, ds rod. Great sensitivity, power etc . However, these rods are very fragile. My buddy and me bought ours around the same time and we are both now waiting for our replacement warranty rods....

Comments: The way megabass separates it's rod variations into specific overarching ideas but not exactly being technique specific is fantastic. These rods really are nothing less than fantastic, too. I own the Levante Whipsnake and Levante Shakeyhead. I would definitely consider buying the Enforcer in the future too with how much I enjoy my current two rods. So far the Whipsnake has been the perfect "true finesse" rod. It is a moderate step up from a crappie rod and is perfect for things like wacky rig and dropshotting but still having enough beef to be able to boatflip fish or do other things a rod should be able to do. Additionally, the Shakeyhead was my first megabass rod and I have spent a lot of time with it. It is a fantastic counterpart to the Whipsnake as it is a perfect example of a "power finesse" rod. You can do things like throw light texas rigs, paddletail swimbaits, shakeyheads (obviously) and still have capabilities of doing things like wacky rigs albeit not as well as the Whipsnake. It also is a great rod for when you are not in a boat. Good from the bank, and really something special wading when you can only have one rod. It really can be pushed to the limits and can toss spooks, jerkbaits, or anything very well for being a spinning rod. Overall both rods are just a joy to fish and in my opinion unbeatable at the 200$ pricepoint.

Comments: I bought the 7' Shakyhead.  Very light and elegant rod.  Pairs well with a Vanford 2500.  It was not clear from the rod description, but the guides are semi-micro.  So if you use braid-to-leader, casting will be a little bumpy, although I did not notice much impact on casting distance.

Comments: Amazing rod for 200$. I bought it with the sole purpose in mind of throwing small swimbaits such as the spark shad and 2.8 keitechs, and it handles them amazing. Can throw them an absolute mile and so far has held up to 3+ pound smallies in my local rivers perfectly.

Comments: I purchased a 7ft shakeyhead rod, The rod was amazing to fish with. Very light and sensitive. I had it paired with a 3000 size shimano stradic ci4. Unfortunately the rod snapped 3 guides up from the grip, right in the middle of the guide while fighting a 3lb bass. I did land it btw. I just wanted to come on and say on top of the great rod, it was a pleasure to deal with megabass usa for the warranty. In my opinion its one of the best warranties, especially if something happens within the first year. I highly recommend buying from megabass.

Comments: Absolutely a joy to fish!   I have the enforcer and use it for dragging, bouncing and ripping tubes along the bottom in deep water fishing situations.   I have caught and landed smallmouth ranging from 2 to 4 lbs and this rod performed flawlessly.  It is incredibly light, extremely sensitive and has plenty of backbone to handle the most aggressive smallmouth.  I have it paired with a Daiwa Caldia 3000 and this combo casts tubes like a bullet, providing super long effortless casts.  I won't make claims that it is better than other high end rods on the market, as those types of claims are super subjective, BUT I WILL SAY IT IS A GREAT VALUE AND YOU WILL BE HARD PRESSED TO FIND A ROD AT ANY PRICE POINT THAT FISHES SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER THAN THE LEVANTE.   I am going to buy the 7 foot shaky head rod next to fish my wacky rigs.

Comments: I bought the enforcer....Awesome Rod...Perfect shaky/Ned rig rod it is extremely light and sensitive....It has 9 guides casts very well and has the perfect action.  Comparable to my NRX rod and $250 cheaper....For $200 it cant be beat

Comments: Picked up the 7'4 enforcer today - put a new Daiwa  Procyon 2500 on .. colors match very nice .. upon inspection wow at how light this rod is . Only 4.2 ounces . With reel 10 ounces .. was very happy to find the tip fast and sturdy - the rod balanced perfect .. the taper is is spot on . It's a very studios looking rod and feels high end . A steal at only $200 . Then off to lake mead to catch some 2/4 pound stripers in the spawn . Rod & reel did a great job throwing a jackal rerange 110 jerkbait and a blast to haul them in . Highly recommend the Levante in spinning .. I'm sure casting is just as nice .

Comments: This rod is the most sensitive and best casting drop shot rod I own. The only problem is after fishing an 8 hour day and catching 50+ fish I found that the knurled bottom part of the reel seat rubbed the skin off the bottom of my hand.  Why they would put a jagged part of the reel seat in a spot that makes contact with your hand is beyond me.  If you're going to be using this in short duration it is a great value, but for long sessions I'd look somewhere else.

Comments: Got the Levante Stinger Shot . . . AMAZING. Looks sleek and is quite thin but durable. Easy to cast with little effort when compared to my friends Dobyns Fury (a great rod btw). Caught a 3lb largie then 5 mins later I landed a 13.8lb carp and I can feel the backbone really being tested. It handled like a champ. Paired it up with the Ci4+ and really love the setup. Really want the shakey head one too now too.

Comments: I was looking for something the replace my Abu Garcia ML Veritas and Revo S20. After doing some research I ended up getting the Levante Shakeyhead rod and paired it with a Stradic Ci4+ 2500. I've been a huge fan of Abu Garcia for a very long time and I'm so happy I branded out! This setup is amazing and exactly what I was looking for in a new finesse rig! Super light and super sensitive. Every time I pick it up, I don't want to put it down. I would recommend this to anyone! I will be buying more Megabass rods!!

From: Bear: Ludowici, GA 6/21/18

Comments: like others have said....this rod is awesome. I have a CI4 2500 on it with 6lb test and I can feel a fish breathe on my shakeyhead. Its a staple in my arsenal and I'm strictly a shimano kistler guy. I bought this rod on a pro-staff discount from my tackle shop and thought it was going to be a bench warmer.

From: john: bellmawr, NJ 9/20/17

Comments: Hands down the best rod for around 200$, I have fished strictly gloomis rods my whole life, I chose this over the gloomis E6x because it seemed better build and I wanted to try out another brand for once. All I can say is wow this thing is insane, definitely will be my go to spinning rod for finesse baits. Have a shimano stradic c4+ on it and it is such a killer combo. Definitely reccomend this to ANYONE deciding on this rod

From: Dre,Thousand oaks 3/21/17

Comments: Levante are probably the best $200 rod on the market. The shakey head is one of my four MB rods, two Levante & two Orochi XX. Landed 5.5 in the weeds on the Shaky Head rod, no problem. These things are amazing. Only down side is lack of a lifetime warranty but for $200 that's hard to find. $285 that's another story. All in all great rods.

From: Jay: MA 8/16/16

Comments: BEST 200$ rod on the market with out a doubt. I fished the 7' shakey head rod on my last tournament & wow I was impressed. This thing has the sensitivity to feel every little bump by a fish & every little rock on the bottom while also packing the power needed to set the hook and reel in those 5+ lbers. I will be switching all my rods to Megabass Levantes.
