Bad Jig BoxIf you have jigs that fit, then this could be a great box, but otherwise, it's a bad box. The first problem is that the box simply doesn't work with a lot of jigs as they use a one size fits all approach and "arms" that the jigs slide into are a hard material that doesn't accommodate a variety of collar sizes; hand tied skirts are too small and don't stay in place and some rubber collars are too big and either won't fit or the arms will eventually break the collar after repeated use. The second problem is that the box is too shallow so when you close the lid it presses down on the weed guards and over time bends them.

Solid but not perfectI have been using this box for a few years now. I have really enjoyed it for my chatterbaits and would definitely recommend it for storing those, but I have mixed feelings about storing full sized jigs in these. The only problem is that if you have jigs with stiffer weed guards it will bend them over time. I primary use dirty jigs which tend to have softer weed guards so it has not damaged them to where I can use them but definitely not the most ideal when trying to store them correctly. An easy fix would just to make the box deeper to support the room for weed guards on the jigs. Still a good and durable box but definitely could use an update for standard jig storage.

Not a Big FanThe box is OK for bladed jigs but for regular full size jigs not so much. As others have stated, it deforms your weed guards quite easily if you store them untrimmed. I just threw away ~$200+ worth of jigs that I couldn't make use of because of this issue. The lid needs to be taller for sure. I have reverted back to an old Falcon FTO Jig box and a Bass Mafia Coffin 3700 for storing my pitching/flipping/casting/football/finesse/swim jigs. I do think that the Falcon design is far superior to this design. You would think that Plano would have continued with it when they bought out the FTO line from Falcon.

Comments: I was very excited about this box when I first got it because of how convenient it made storing my jigs. However, after a season of use, I'll be looking for something different. My first gripe is with the latch. It pops open quite easily and it doesn't always close back up perfectly. The second issue is an easy fix, they simply need to make this box deeper. The lid will close down on the weedguards of full size jigs and bend them pretty badly. The internal notches that actually holds the jigs in place need reworked as well. Jigs with hand tied skirts do not like to stay in place. Lastly, the price is ridiculous. I honestly don't see why it should cost $40, especially given the issues I've had with it. It's not all bad though, this box would be fine if you intend to solely use it for chatterbaits which is what I'll end up using mine for.

Comments: Cleanly organizes the jigs and fits a ton. I'm not impressed with the handle. I feel like it opens too easily when pulling it from storage. I now have to be conscious of how I pick it up.

From: Unknown: 7/15/23

Comments: Hands down the best thing you can use for your jigs! Clean, organized, and easy to pull out the exact one without taking three more with you when you take it out. Overall I am pleased with the organizer and highly recommend it!

From: Hayden: Ohio 4/15/23

Comments: So convenient to keep all my jigs in one box! The only complaint I will vocalize is this: the box can sometimes be a tad shallow for some of my weed guards, and as another guy or two has stated, it can and will bend your weed guards down and distort them. Just a little bit annoying, but not too big of a deal, you can typically get them bent back by hand. However, just because of the angle they sit at while inside the box, sometimes they can fray out and look a little funky after being in there for a bit and not being used as often as some of my other ones. Other than that, this box is absolutely fantastic and an awesome upgrade to my storage.

From: Christian: Northeast, MO 11/24/22

Comments: Nice box, a bit pricey. As others have stated needs to be a little taller. It will smash down and fan out your weed guards on bigger jigs. Hand-tied jigs don't stay in place very well when the box is standing up on its side. It does hold a lot of jigs though..

From: Willie: Illinois 8/17/22

Comments: Box is certainly an improvement to my previous storage box but could be better. Works great lying flat but not so much turned on it's side. The Gruv jig box looks like a better design.

From: Crimsontwister: Al 7/25/22

Comments: As others have said it's not tall enough to not bend the weed guards on many of my jigs. Jigs do stay in place. It's a good bladed jig box but I've found it to be a great jerkbait box. Use two rows of the yellow holders and place the jerkbaits alternating the front of the bait left or right. Can get two complete rows and is easy to tell them apart. Hook tangling is minimal even if packed in every space.

From: Sean: FL 4/6/22

Comments: Nice box, but doesnt hold football jigs well and doesnt hold jigs with hand tied skirts very well at all. Some weed guards stick up too far and get smashed.

From: Randy: Arkansas 3/23/22

Comments: Does not hold small jigs they fall right out scrounge jugs don't fit well either disappointed the entire edge lineup needs to be cheaper for the money it's cheaper to buy bass mafia coffins and they're alot more durable as well

From: Unknown: Ohio 3/11/22

Comments: This box sucks for football and bigger jigs, the heads don't fit all the way down and it bends the weed guards. Even my bigger swimjigs donât fit. It's fine for bladed jigs but pointless for anything else.

From: Clint: Texas 2/8/22

Comments: Best investment ever for tackle management. Keeps tackle organized by color and size. No more digging to find the color and size you want. Larger football heads don't fit great but it still works

From: Rey: US 1/11/22

Comments: What a disappointment. I was excited to finally invest in a few of these. Mistake. They are terrible for jigs. The lid will press down on the weed guard and deform it. So I thought ok let me try my nutech jigs. Definitely will not work for those either. Works for my bladed jigs more or less but for regular jigs I can not recommend this. Maybe it'l work of for the finesse jigs where the weed guard doesn't stick up as far. Gonna have to give that a try but so far not pleased.

From: Unknown: 11/20/21

Comments: Bought this box last season. Was decent, except one Major issue. At the end of the season, all my jig weed guards are all bent. So I looked at my old clear spinnerbait box by Plano, some of my spinnerbait lower arms are bent also. Wtf! Put my jigs back into a normal flambeau box and removed the dividers of the jig box so I have three spaces in the box. One for buzzbaits, one area for smaller spinnerbait and the last area for bigger spinnerbaits. Prolly would not recommend this.

From: Dan: Janesville, WI 4/11/21

Comments: The box works well for most average size jigs and some chatterbaits.  The spaces between "prongs" are too wide for smaller jigs and many bladed jigs.  Product usefulness would greatly improve if 3-4 spacings between prongs to accommodate a wider range of jigs/bladed jigs.  For example, Jack Hammers are more secure in Elite spinnerbait boxes due to slightly narrower spaces.   Latch system and rusticator features are great.

From: unknown 3/26/21

Comments: So i like the box a lot, the positives are if you're organized its easy to sort through all your jigs. The downside is if you don't take the time to trim the factory weed guards a lot of them are too tall and will end up bent by the lid closing down on them. I use it strictly for jigs as a lot of chatterbait head designs don't fit well.

From: Unknown 3/11/21

Comments: Kinda frustrated with this box. If you're buying this and plan on putting anything larger than 3/8 jigs in they don't fit well and you have to smoosh the lid down. If you plan to use football jigs then they really don't belong. The problem stems from the supports on both sides. They don't allow a jig (arkie, football, or any semi wide jig) to go down more than half way and they fall out and have the weed guards crushed. Taking a knife to one side of the little 45 degree supports fixes this, but now I have a hacked up $25 dollar specialty box.

From: Jared: 2/3/21

Comments: So I do like the box but whoever designed it is not a serious fisherman.  At least half  of my jigs slide out of the holding area. So frustrating, the design is a great idea and honestly there is nothing else on the marked like this. They really need to do some research and have a real fisherman try these out and make recommendations so that all jigs fit.  If I modified my non fitting jigs they would fit.  I did this by putting a small rubber hair tie  that girls use and put below the head of the jig and it fits well.  I have new jigs just purchased and they do not fit and have to be modified.  I hope they learn from their mistake and fix this issue.

From: Mark: Waukesha, WI 1/13/21

Comments: This box works great for organizing my jigs and bladed jigs. The main reason I bought it was to help store those expensive jack hammers, and keep them from rusting. Unfortunately I lost over $300 in jack hammers due to them rusting inside this box. My boat was covered and stored outside at the time, so I'm sure the temp changes, rain, and condensation played a role. It was pretty disappointing, and has me leery about buying the small crankbait box for all my megabass jerk baits.

From: Brent: Fort Smith, AR 12/9/20

Comments: Super nice boxes - worth the money - was silly expensive but I changed out all my boxes to edge series - near 20 I think .. be sure and order some " thins" the thinner boxes work out awesome for spoons & rattle traps - will have your lures looking like jewelry behind a display case - the plastic lids are thick & clear, my fav boxes are the jig boxes - fill yours and looks very professional.. also sold out often - if you find them in stock ( jig box ) just as well order 2 .. highly recommend the edge Series boxes - to date the most modern and best made .. expensive at average 25 a box .. but totally worth it, don't kick them around & they'll last you a life time

From: Dean: Las Vegas  6/14/20

Comments: Works extremely well with jigs that have the skirt held on with a rubber band. If the skirt is hand tied they fall out of the grooves. If they have the rubber band holding them they stay locked in and its an awesome box. Just depends on what kind of jigs you own.

From: Trent: Missouri 5/8/20

Comments: GAME. CHANGER. If you tournament fish you know the struggle of digging through your jig box for that specific style, color and weight. This box eliminates all the hassle, oh and you can store more jigs!! My box is currently filled with over 50 Jigs/Chatterbaits. Pegs are super easy to use and fit almost every style of jig perfectly. Definitely will check out other Edge series boxes.

From: Alex: Wisconsin 3/22/20

Comments: I feel like the other edge boxes are pretty dubious in terms of cost/performance balance, but this one is amazing and worth the money in my opinion. Normal 3700-size boxes make your jigs all tangled, to the point that I was storing my jigs in their original little baggies/packaging and then holding them in bait wraps to stay organized. Now I can clearly see my chatterbaits, shaky heads, finesse jigs, football heads, etc. It's less space efficient than my old method, but the tradeoff is that I can access my needed baits far more quickly. Worth it for me right now because I don't have a better solution to this problem.

From: Sam: Mountain View, CA 2/17/20

Comments: All I can say is buy one and you will see. I filled one up with chatterbaits and I'm extremely happy. I turned it every way you could think and shook it like no other. I found everything was still in place.

From: Jessie: Clarksville, TN 2/5/20

Comments: Was a little on the fence when I ordered but I am extremely impressed with this thing after getting my Jigs into it. Currently have 54 jigs and it hold them well. I have room probably for ~13 more jigs in here. Some quick notes on sizing for people. It holds most jigs extremely well. Anything 1/4oz with a hand tied skirt or smaller might slide around some but still stays in its spot. I have some 1/4oz jigs with the rubber skirt holder and those stay snug well. Jig heads without a skirt slide back and forth in there slot but still stay put so far. Jigs over 3/4oz cannot be stored side by side neatly so you either need to leave a empty spot, put a smaller jig next to it, or alternate which side the jig head is on. For my 1 and 1/4oz and bigger jigs I do have some concerns that the ones with rubber skirt holders will start to tear some due to the pressure but most of my jigs in that size are hand tied and I'm not concerned with those. Overall extremely impressed with this thing. Will probably get one of the Terminal tackle edge series boxes now as well.

From: Michael C: Johnston, IA 1/28/20

Comments: Wow, I'm impressed put in 61 baits; swim jigs swimbaits with heads, chatterbaits and still have room for 20-25 more baits in that jig box. Locks up great. Holds baits in place! A great box! In fact bought the Plano xL crankbait box, and another Plano jig box.

From: Robert F: Sayre, OK 1/24/20

Comments: This box is outstanding for jig storage/organization. Easy to see clear top, easy to use, and prevents rust! I have two for my all my jigs and chatter baits. LOVE THEM! I use a lot of mafia stuff but this blows them away!

From: Asa: Kentucky 1/3/20

Comments: Been using Bass mafia boxes for a while and they were ok but I love this box, love the clear top, the latch handle and how much lighter it is. This is a winner

From: Jeff: Sun Prairie 11/10/19

Comments: Pros: The overall quality of this box is unmatched. The one handed latch is smooth and feels incredibly strong. The ultra-clear lid makes a huge difference in being able to see inside. I really like how firm the dividers stay in place, they will not slide out no matter how much you move the box around. I have put several different brands of swim jigs and chatterbaits in the box and they seem to stay in place pretty well. So far I have about 20 chatterbaits and 15 swim jigs in the box with plenty of room to spare. Also this box felt much lighter to me than other "heavy duty" boxes like those from Bass Mafia.
Cons: Very few cons so far. The smaller chatterbaits (like a 3/8 jackhammer) tend to slide around some as the heads are too small to be pinched between the little yellow teeth, but they still stay in their slots. Also the white spot for labeling was a little small for my liking. I still think its more practical to use a label maker versus permanent ink (it will smear when you wipe it and stain the yellow latch). But still the overall quality of this box is awesome and I plan to buy some of the other models.
