Comments: Super Slick V2 is the least troublesome braid I've ever used. I love the 8 carrier for the smoothness through the guides on casting and retrieving. I use 50lb on my frog setup and it's great. The diameter is perfect in my opinion for that.. When it comes to spinning reels, that's where some braids will give you headaches. However, for the last 2 years I've used Super Slick V2 in 10lb and 15lb on my spinning tackle, and it has been trouble free. I use a Alberto knot for my leader and it's never broke on a fish. When I get snagged it rarely breaks at the leader knot.. I just won't buy any other braid for a spinning reel, period. I fish a lot, and the more you fish the more problems with tackle you'll have. This stuff will save you a few grey hairs, trust me!

Comments: I am not one to write bad reviews, and I feel a little bad about it because it did perform well up till now. It did fade a bit but I was fine with this. Fish are going to see braid anyway so I only got the dark grey for my personal preference and the faded color looked kinda cooler. It cast extremely well, and when tying on fancy knots it gave a bit more room for error since the superslick bit allowed me to tighten knots without lubricating. I have it on a 13 fishing concept a2. The point still stands however, I have never had a braid break this much. First instance, I cast a frog off. Distraught, but it happens, I didn't think much of it. Then I tie on a lipless crank. Cast it out, first cast it breaks. I look at my reel and notice a backlash, so I think "oh maybe it just broke because I forgot to take out a backlash or it backlashed on that cast". I take out the backlash and tie on a little swimbait, get 3 casts in before it snaps again. Now I'm thinking "okay now I'm cutting this stuff off". It was breaking at random points too, I tie that hybrid palomar/clinch knot and have never had a break at the knot itself. I have admittedly tied two double uni knots in the spool to save a couple yards of line, but it wasn't breaking at those either. I'll take another look at the guide on my reel and the guides on my rod, but for now I think I'll stick to spiderwire or yo zuri.

Comments: I hate how this cuts into the spool so badly.. had for frog and flipping sticks!! Every hook set digs into spool so deep , next cast is horrible after every hook set. First time I ever unspooled two reels the same day!! Original PP is the best! No question.. could care less about fading and quiet line!! Just don't want to pick line after every fish!!

From: Justin: Minnesota 7/16/22

Comments: Far better than the original Superslick. This is becoming my favorite braided line for baitcasters. Slick and casts a mile. Great knot bonding strength with the FG and Alberto. Buy with confidence

From: Lance, ID 1/28/20

Comments: Not sure why there are such bad reviews. I got the 50lb for my frogging setups and love it. Casting distance is amazing, and the fading has been better than all my other braids. Yes it fades but only to a lighter grey that is much better than a bright white that others give. I am about to order 65 for my punching setups with how smooth it goes through the guides and does not make a sound when pulling against pads or mats. This stuff is killer!

Comments: Not sure what all the bad reviews are on regarding this line, but I highly disagree. This braid not only is strong, but it lasts. As for the color, seriously? How can you complain about it fading? It's fishing line lol honestly, it fades and turns a light grey which is fine with me. If you want strong line that holds well and is smooth, get this. ( FYI not sure why people are complaining about this line on baitcasters but this line is awesome for spinners and casters both. I run 50lb on most of mine and 65lb on my big boy rod and all casters and no issues at all, in fact the line IMO is last harsh on the gear.)

Comments: I'm generally not the type to write reviews but after using this line I felt compelled. It is by far the worst braided line I've ever used. I've never had more breakages as I did using this line. I have 15lb spooled in two rods and every time I hooked into a fish the line would snap. Never had that issue with standard power pro if the same pound test. Maybe I just got a bad batch but to say I'm disappointed is an understatement.

Comments: After hearing mixed reviews I decided to give this braid a shot. I bought 20lb Onyx for my Jerkbait rod. I fished it on a Medium Power rod and tied it off with 12lb. Seaguar InvisX. It fished incredible for me, over the course of 9 trips it has no fading, I have had no break offs after over 70 fish (most above 23"), the casting was very smooth, knot strength was great, and it didn't make much if any noise. I also have some on a spinning setup and it works flawlessly there too. Very impressed so far.

From: Isaac: Utah 6/19/20

Comments: So far so good. Plenty tough, and very quite going through your guides. Yes it fades, like almost all braid, lol. Get ya a good sharpie and do what you do to all your other braided lines. I've spooled some 40 and 50 up on a few of my rods and so far I prefer it to what I had been using. I've even been punching with the 50lb for the past three weeks in thick hydrilla mats with no problems (I usually use 65lb for punching). I'll be buying more!

Comments: Couldn't wait for this stuff to come out.  Especially the onyx. So I got a couple spools. 30lb for snook rod and 15lb for bass rod.  Like others said it fades very quickly and turns grey.  Haven't had any breakage issues. But doesnt seem to be better than standard power pro.  Feels a little stiffer and chalkier than standard PP.  Didn't impress me ....

From: Unknown: South Florida 10/6/19

Comments: Great line, casts very nicely and does not fluff and fray like the older SS8.

From: Ryan: Canada 8/27/19

Comments: Not good for use on a baitcaster at all. I bought this thinking that the smoother line would put less ware on my guides, but it wears out very quickly and seems to dig into its self much worse than regular PP. I put it on my Chronarch 200E and it does cast a long way, but the cons outweigh the pros big time for me - switching back to OG power pro. Forget picking a backlash out too.

From: George: SC 7/30/19

Comments: terrible. cuts into spool when setting hook and loses its color in about 3 days of fishing, will not buy again.

From: Unknonwn 6/21/19

Comments: Much like the original super slick it wears out quickly, I've fished it for two weeks and it's already  faded and fraying. Would work well with a spinning setup, but wears out quick on a casting rod.

From: Lance  2/24/19

Comments: I personally like this braid better than the others especially when using it on a spinning reed I gain a lot more casting distance with this over just standard braid
