Overview

Delivering a loud topwater buzzing action that leaves all other frogs in its wake, the Booyah Toad Runner Frog elicits bone-jarring strikes that are not for the faint of heart. It is built around a modified Booyah Pad Crasher body with added side rails to help the Toad Runner plane more easily and stay upright. A 360-degree rotating tail creates a plopping sound and hard churning action that fish cannot resist.

It also includes a molded-in wire, which allows you to bend the tail to change the action and sound of the tail for different conditions. Precisely sized silicone legs balance and stabilize the Toad Runner during the retrieve, while also providing a lifelike appearance and motion when paused. Complete with a razor sharp double frog hook, the Booyah Toad Runner Frog will add a new element to your frog fishing arsenal.

Under Rated Hollowbelly Frog !The Booyah Toad Runner can out fish the competition! This is a super hollowbelly that has an awesome hookup rate! The hook is wicked sharp & the plastic is so soft. Offered in two sizes, a big toad for power fishing and a smaller toad for finesse. On a heavy action rod and 50 pound braid, these lures throw like no tomorrow. The plopper tail can be removed for replacement tails or a spinnerbait blade like a number 2 Colorado/Indiana. Tight Lines!

Comments: I tried some of the full sized toadrunners when they first came out. The action was unbelievable. They'd get hit 2 or 3 times on one cast. But that was also the problem. The hook up ratio where I live isn't great for the full sized toadrunner (a big fish here is only just north of 4 lbs with 2-3 being the average). Once they released the Jr though, it was a game changer. A lot better hook up ratio on the smaller fish, but they were still irresistible to the larger fish, too.  The tails do get a little tore up after a few fish, but each one comes with a spare, and I think they sell just spare tails now too.

Comments: Frog gets bit, does not last long at all and has a bad hookup ratio, fish a whopper plopper or buzzbait instead

From: Hunter: Arizona 9/20/20

Comments: Bought this frog on a whim because I had all my teckel sprinkers torn up beyond repair by pike and this was at a local bait shop. I caught a handful of fish on it using it for its intended purpose as a weedless buzz bait, but it is not as good as the teckel for this purpose. It has a pretty bad hookup ratio even when you bend the hooks out some. Where this frog really shined for me was once the paddle tail for bit off by a pike. I was annoyed so i decided to try to throw it like a regular frog. Once the tail is gone this is one of the best walking frogs I have ever thrown. I caught way more fish on it walking it like a normal frog then I did fishing it like it was intended to be used. Also didn't have as many issues with bad hookups. Give this frog a try, it is decent for its original use and works amazing once it is beat up and the tail is gone. The teckel is still a better frog, but this is a great cheaper option.

Comments: These Frogs are amazing! I was using them in Minnesota and they kill. First time I used them I caught 2 4lbs. That is pretty good up north. The one thing I will say is they rip on my second it ripped, but I superglued it and it still nails fish. Great lure would highly recommend it.

From: Unknown: 9/24/19

Comments: This frog skips great and I've caught a lot of fish on it. Only downside is the durability. If the frog bite is good, this will not last more than 20+ fish.

From: Tyler - Yuma, AZ 9/4/19

Comments: Ive fished the Booyah toad runner on numerous times. The fish blowup on it. But never get the hooks, just the boot on the back. I switch to the teckle sprinker and i can hook the fish. Booyah need to reengineer the hooks on this bait, before i buy another!

From: Steven 8/27/19

Comments: Catches giants but worst quality frog I have ever seen. I bought two of the frogs and both broke after one fish.

From: Unknown 8/23/19

Comments: It's more weedless than the teckel sprinker, but it doesn't make quite as good of a sound, and the hook up ratio isn't quite as good. Sometimes you have to straighten the frog out again. Still, it's worth having since it comes through emergent veggies better than the sprinker and also comes in the Jr. size now.

From: Tyler: Grand Junction, CO 5/24/19

Comments: Looks awesome in the water. Problem is durablility. First fish was five pounds and it ripped the frog so it's unusable. Would buy more if I could get more than one fish out of them

From: Kevin: Augusta, GA  1/23/19

Comments: The Booyah PAD crasher is my favorite frog, But the TOAD runner needs improvements. If you look at the PAD crasher the hooks are set in front of the legs, but on the TOAD runner the hooks are set behind the legs making the bait have TERRIBLE hook-ups. Until this is improved, I'm not using the Toad runner.

From: Unknown 11/11/18

Comments: Hook up ratio is EXTREMELY TERRIBLE, this frog is only good for its action and thats about it. Ive had countless blow-ups on this frog and still haven't landed a fish. I believe the paddle tail gets in the way when the fish strike it. I land waaaay more fish with the other booyah frogs!

From: Seiya  10/17/18

Comments: Have not fished much with any frog, but had to try this one. The first thing on my mind was whether the hooks would be any good. These appear to be Trokar, or at least sharpened like a Trokar, and they are "gamakatsu" (friggin' sharp & dangerous!). The frog did not pick up much water, and tho I squeezed it multiple times, very little water ever came out. It casts very well, even without being full of water. I guess I'll have to make a change to the boot retainer, or glue them on with CA. Not a big deal, IMO. If you come up with a fix, send the info to Pradco and help improve it. So far, I haven't had a problem.

From: Steve: Washington 10/2/18

Comments: Great action, HOWEVER, the durability is horrid, and the hook up ratio is also awful.  Hopefully they make some changes and get it right.  Like others have said too, some frogs the hooks don't sit right on at all.

From: Jay6: Meatwad city 9/20/18

Comments: I was skeptical when I bought a couple of these.  The action on these frogs is awesome and they get bit. The tails are great but I lost 3 tails in a short period of time. I then figured out to push the tail down and put a drop of super glue to keep it from flying off. After that, no problems. Fish eat these a lot better than the Sprinker frog and the hook ups are good. They need to sell replacement tails since they fly off so easily. The paint gets torn up pretty quickly when they're eating them. But that's a good thing, I guess.

From: Chris: Arizona  9/18/18

Comments: I was super excited to throw these when I they came out so I bought 2 of them a few weeks ago and finally got a chance to try them recently. First day out with it and made maybe 20 casts and the tail came clean off the wire. The wire was still in tact and attached to the frog but the soft plastic tail flew off and fell in the river. The pad crasher is my favorite frog on the market and I thought the toadrunner would be just as good but I am very disappointed. Maybe I just bought a faulty one, who knows? I think I'll just stick to horny roads.

From: John: Illinois 6/26/18

Comments: bought one of these replace a teckel sprinker frog a gator took, I really like the tails on these and that u can customize the sound, however the hooks do not fit correctly behind the "legs" on the one I bought and I have to adjust it at least every other cast. also very very bad hook up ratio. im going back to the sprinker frog and using the tails I have left over from this. will not be buying these again till the back end is fixed.

From: Spencer: Mississippi 6/11/18

Comments: First cast with the brown frog caught a 2lber.Now the bad thing about this frog,no more replacement tail's!! First tail slung off after a while,no problem.Put the replacement tail on that came with it.A few cast's later fish rip's the other tail off.Now stuck with a frog with no more tail's!!! Booyah need's Replacement tail's like Teckel does! I actually liked the Booyah frog better then the Teckel frog.Cast better and the tail had a louder noise to it.But if Booyah doesn't produce some replacement tail's for the frog I have, won't be buying anymore Booyah frog's!!!

From: Unknonwn 6/2/18

Comments: This bait right here will catch fish, but the durability is very questionable. Only caught 4-5 fish on it and it had already ripped at the mouth and the wire that connects the tail had broke.

From: Unknown - 5/25/18

Comments: this is my new favorite frog. awesome action, very consistent, cast a mile.

From: Nitro - Tennessee 5/3/18

Comments: I never leave reviews but felt I had to on this one. I bought one and tried it out for the first time this weekend. When it showed up I noticed that it comes with a spare tail and wondered why. Now I know. The frog worked great and I caught the first two fish that blew up on it. The 3rd fish was a decent fish and when it blew up I hooked the fish and got to the boat but the tail to my frog was GONE!!!! All I was left with was 2 thin wires that were bent out!! I didn't have the spare tail with me or split ring pliers. There has to be a better built frog then this one!! What a let down!!

From: Rob: East Bay, CA 4/23/18

Comments: I seen a couple videos and preordered one. Extremely happy with it. Just wish the tails stayed on better. Used 2 tails in one trip.

From: Cole - Maud, TX 4/23/18

Comments: Must have! Bass up shallow this spring have been killing this thing! I personally like to cup the tail a tiny bit, and it creates an awesome plopping sound while also allowing you to fish it slower. If you have flooded bushes or trees where your fishing do yourself a favor and pick up one

From: Keith - Shreveport, LA 4/20/18

Comments: Typically the same as a teckel sprinker frog. The wire tail isnt any better than the original sprinker design. Does exactly the same thing.Tails are expensive just for a few of them so i decided to buy some from a guy who makes and sells them on ebay.  Was glad i did, alot cheaper and work perfectly! If i need more ii will definitley look him up to save money.

From: Danny d: Sam rayburn 4/1/18

Comments: This frog right here hands down is best designed bait I have ever fished, I wouldn't expect any less since the Pad Crasher frogs are the best on the market! This thing is basically a weedless Whopper Plopper on steroids! I tested it all weekend and was absolutely blown away by how true it ran and how well it held up fish after fish! This thing calls them up for sure I had one fish come out of 8ft of water for it! Do yourself a a a favor and get one today you will not be disappointed!

From: Brett: Savannah, GA 3/6/18

Comments: I got the Teckel Sprinker frog when it came out, and when I started seeing the videos for this ToadRunner I wondered if it was going to beat the competition. I got 3 of the toad runners and they didn't disappoint at all! The hooks are positioned better to where they wont grab grass like the Sprinker Frog does and the movement of the tail defiantly seems to work better as well. Overall just a better thought out design. Will without a doubt be buying more!

From: C.J.: TX 3/6/18

Comments: I pre-ordered 2 of these. On my first outing with it, it was alright. Caught a couple small ones. There was and is one major flaw. I was throwing braid, backlashed, the frog stopped immediately in the air, but the tail kept flying. The wire that holds the tail straightened completely out. A little disappointing.
