Overview

The Zoom Brush Hogs are the most popular of the new generation of 'creature baits' on the market today. They've been responsible for winning a lot of money in tournaments all over the United States. The Zoom Brush Hogs are big, bulky baits with tails, wings and arms for lots of motion and water movement. They're made with soft, salty plastic that feels like a meal to a big bass, yet they are tough enough to stand up to getting bit again and again. We offer a great selection of colors in both the Standard Brush Hog and the Baby Brush Hog so there's sure to be a bait to help you catch fish no matter where you are in the world. Of course, these are premier flip baits and a lot of anglers use them on Carolina rigs or anywhere you would use a lizard. You can also try them as jig trailers, either whole or cut down for a really big presentation, or put them on a football head and drag them in deep water like a spider jig. Your imagination is the limit with these baits so buy a few colors in both sizes and try something new.

Comments: It seems the full sized "Bruh Hawg" has been forgotten about by most. This is cool to me, more fish for me. Yeah, the baby size gets a lot of love, but if you are on a good bite on the smaller size, slap a full sized bruh hawg on there and watch what happens. Upsize your hook and line size if you do this or you may be sad when you get owned by a beast. I'm back and ready to make more informative tackle reviews!

From: Meatwad: 9/29/23

Comments: I truly believe behind the strike king rage structure bug this is the best flipping bait of all time. Especially the baby brush hog simply gets bit! When you are looking for a bite it will save the day for you. Watermelon red and green pumpkin candy have been my go toos for years and they still catch big ones

From: Hunter: Chattanooga; TN 11/23/21

Comments: What can I say?  These just get bit.  Put the 4 inch behind a pegged 1/8, 3/16, or 1/4oz tungsten pegged bullet and get ready to set the hook.  The 4 will bring in everything from dinks to five pounders.  Here in Northwestern WA, any of the Green Pumpkin plus variants do great; Green Pumpkin Magic and Green Pumpkin Purple are my go-tos.  I would also put a serious mention in for the Root Beer Green Pepper color.  I've been getting stupid action off it this year in my more pumpkinseed populated fisheries.

From: Unknown: 7/26/21

Comments:  These will get you bit! My buddy Karl tied one of these on for me using the Toyo Rig! First cast I caught a treepounder! Then next cast caught a dogfish! These are awesome! Blueberry is my favorite!

From: Unknown 6/1/21

Comments: The baby brush hog is one of those baits you just have to have in the box. Its added quite a few kickers to my limits over the years.

From: Brian: Denver, North Carolina 4/26/21

Comments: By far my favorite bait. I use the baby size. I fish local tournaments and this is my money maker. If i cant get them to bite this i use it as a jig trailer.

From: Unknown: 8/26/20

Comments: Amazing, cheap and reliable. To give it more vibration and action, Ill pull the lower end of the top arms off the bait so they dangle, and split the side flaps on the bottom with a knife right down the crease.

From: Rusty: Southern, IL 4/19/20

Comments: These are my old reliable, if I can't catch bass on a moving bait I'll throw on a baby brush hog on a T-rig always seem to get bit. I am from Michigan and fish a lot of shallow natural lakes, the standards size does alright, but tend to get bit more on the baby size, it also good as a jig/spinner-bait trailer. It's a must have for any bass angler beginner or experienced.

From: Jake: Michigan 12/11/19

Comments: One of the most consistent performing baits to ever come along and that is all anyone needs to know.

From: Bills: WI 5/21/18

Comments: These baits set the standard for creature baits.  The original but no longer the best.  NetBait Baby Mad Paca is a much better option.  Mad Paca costs less, are better made, have better action, better scent, and last much longer.  Zoom Brush Hogs are so soft it's basically one fish per bait.  The original creature bait is still a good one, but not the best....

From: Rick: Shuqualak, Ms 4/14/18

Comments: These are by far my go to bait. Fish them in sunny and hot weather more aggressively and on colder and slower days when the fish aren't biting on anything else, switch to these and basically bounce one off a largemouth's head. Caught 14 bass in a span of 4 hours in a lake at Bovay Scout Camp in Texas with these.

From: John: Texas 2/19/18

Comments: Awesome bait. I threw this thing on a flipping rig and I caught a 8 pound bass moments later. This bait exels at catching bass in the grass.

From: Jake: Connecticut 9/25/17

Comments: Its true, these things put bass in the boat,i throw the 6" with 1/2oz. with 5/0 wide gap and just hammer them!!

From: Unknonwn 9/6/17

Comments: Was fishing with a guide on a local lake.  Was getting schooled. 5-1 . He was throwing brush hod with tips dip in chartreuse. He finally said put one of these on and as soon as it hit the water - fish on. I belong to two bass clubs and several members have them and win tournaments with them. I have thrown every creature bait out there against them. They are the real deal. I bought some and waited til the last 35 min of a tournament to tie one on and with in 12 cast upgrade 3 fish on my card. Get em, tie em on, and fish . Green pumpkin with watermelon. Boom nuff said

From: Dickie - Omaha, NE 7/24/17

Comments: I am now in love with the baby brush hog. Watermelon Seed was working great in my tourney yesterday. Carolina rigged or Texas rigged were working yesterday. Also dip them in JJ's Magic or Spike it Garlic. You will not be disappointed.

From: Jet: Arkansas 3/26/17

Comments: This bait has great action and fish catching ability. Durability is alright, and color selection is good. I would recommend these to anyone. And to that fella below, I do not recommend dipping em in motor oil, that's terrible for the environment.

From: Max: Weston 3/21/17

Comments: Best bait I own. June bug color crushes bass in my local lake & the CA delta. I just ordered a bunch of different colors because no matter what colors of thrown I catch fish. Cast & let the bait hit the bottom. Slowly reel in & stop. Feel the tug and FISH ON! Glad I found these.

From: Bobby: Richmond, CA 9/10/16

Comments: The bass brush hogs on a Texas rig is great for really time of the year. They have great movement in the water. I have done great in tournaments with these when other baits won't work.

From: Creed: Chickamauga, TN 8/31/16

Comments: One of the most productive bait in my arsenal. Love them and love Zoom. The majority of my soft plastic is ZOOM. Really wish they'd catch up with the times & interact more with the customers on social media & also get some apparel & stuff out. Once in a blue moon you will run across some

From: Austin: GA 5/7/16

Comments: By far my favorite jig trailer, I like dippin em in motor oil. It really helps attract the fish, its better then JJ's magic tbh & Im a FIRM BELIEVER in em. I wish they made this is baby bass

4/20/16

Comments: I've caught some big spotted bay bass and halibut on the standard size just dragging on the bottom through the mooring cans. Great action, probably looks like a baitfish, lizard fish, crab & big shrimp all in one go!

From: Morgan: Newport Beach, CA 3/10/16

Comments: The brush hog is my go to bait. The sprayed grass & June bug red colors have produced tremendous results for me. Nothing was biting, so I switched to a brush hog. I was hookin' up with 5 pounders left & right. If you're looking for a bait that will get the bass fired up, then the brush hog is the bait for you!

From: Aaron: St. Louis, MO 10/7/15

Comments: Baby brush hog is great. Have had great success fishing these & has become one of my go to baits. Durability is really good.

From: Rob: Westfield, IN 7/30/15

Comments: Fished a tournament recently where the Bass wouldn't bite anything. Threw the brush hog and the bite kicked on! The brush hog doesn't mimic anything, instead it mimics a little of everything into one soft plastic. An extremely versatile bait that should be in everyone's tackle box.

From: Ainsley: USA 1/7/15

Comments: I had never used the baby brush hog on a Carolina Rig before this Fall, but I've had great success since. I decided to try the watermelon seed color since a friend told me to throw them when the water is hot and the bite gets tough. Now, the baby brush hog is my go-to soft plastic on the C-rig (along with Zoom lizard in Spring and Ol' Monster in Summer).

From: John: Knoxville, TN 11/14/14

Comments: Alrighty guys you have to try this in late summer. I was flipping & pitchin a pit boss and strike king rodent and didnt have any luck so I said ahh what the crap and put on a baby brush hog in water melon red flake and I was rippin some serious lips on a 2/0 EWG and a 1/4 oz tungsten trust me guys you won't be disappointed. And also a tip dye the tails in chart. Jj's magic dip it's amazing

From: Seth: Muldrow, OK 9/13/14

Comments: There has been a complete shift in my fishing when you look at my success before and after my recent baby brush hog purchase. I was basically skunked all summer until I bought a pack of these in Junebug. I have been pulling out fish left and right. Texas rigged with 3-4/0 EWG, and light weights. Peg it, don't... it doesn't matter. The only negative is that they seem to get mangled pretty quick but that's probably more about how hard the fish are hitting these things. I'm definitely gonna get more of these in a couple different colors to cover different conditions.

From: Jim: Orange City, NY 9/13/14

Comments: Zoom does need to work on their quality control, but I've never noticed it on the Z-Hogs.. Mainly Speed Speed Craws. Anyways, The Z-Hog produces around flooded brush and in weed pockets. I like Black Sapphire/Black Red Flake for murky water and any Green Pumpkin/Watermelon for clearish water.

From: Logan: LA 5/24/14

Comments: Still a fantastic creature bait, awesome for pitching and flipping all year, especially during the spawn in my opinion though. The aggressive appendages draw strikes.  The baby is best rigged with a 1/0 ewg gammy or a 2/0 regular offset hook. Often catches bigger than average fish than other creatures.

From: Tyler: Grand Junction, CO 5/13/14

Comments: Don't hesitate to buy the baby brush hog. An absolute river smallmouth killer. I caught all my big September smallies on these things last year. They are also great for largemouth too!

From: Henry: VA 3/31/14

Comments: Caught my two biggest fish on them. My favorite bait to fish:D

From: Brandon: PA

Comments: Great creature bait, have been killing it on the sapphire blue in stained water in Chicago and in downstate farm ponds. Great bait.

From: Brian: Chicago

Comments: This is my favorite creature bait. When the bass aren't really biting these work the best. My favorite color is green pumpkin

From: Chandler: Salisbury,NC

Comments: I caught my pb on this bait in the baby size in pumpkin color. Great bait, they have a lot of colors to chose from.

From: Trevor: San Jose, CA

Comments: i love these things i rig them on a deep crankbait and catch nothing. they are so fun to use.

From: Don: GA

Comments: Yo! If you dont have the baby brush in your arsenal, then you aint 'bout it bout it'. VERY versatile. Works on a shakey head almost better than a trick worm. But you already knew that, right?

From: Meatwad: Hawgin

Comments: Won my first club tournament today thanks to a black and blue brush hog..4 pound kicker fish

From: Hunter

Comments: Fished a tourney at Guntersville with A-Rig. I was throwing swimbaits and co-angler had brush hogs on his. My best five went 15-5 and his went 18-8. I think the answer is obvious. The pigs love brush hogs.

From: Sam: Jackson, TN

Comments: I was picking up some bait one day with my girlfriend and she picked out the watermelon color.  I asked her why this one, and she said it looks cute and I bet the fish will go for it. OK?  Sure enough, she caught a lunker first cast and then a few more there after while I was at zero in the first 45 minutes.  My plan B "let me get one of those!"  First cast - BOOM!

From: Cguila: Antioch, CA

Comments: Bought these on a whim in the early fall. I tried them the next day texas rigged on a 2/0 EWG hook and a 1/16 oz tungsten bullet weight. I caught 10 bass, 4 pickerel and 2 big yellow perch in 4 hours, including a nice 3.5 lb bass. Caught them in open water, on weed edges, near brush, and over rip-rap. Amazing baits, and I plan to fish them a lot in the coming seasons.

From: Charles: Scranton, PA

Comments: A tried and true standby lure theres nothing more to say, these baits are excellent from ponds to major tournament fishermen.

From: G: KY

Comments: 1/4oz with a no2 hook TX rigged is MY GO 2 BAIT AT ALL TIMES OF THE NIGHT the last 2 times i have fished i have had 2 work the bait straight up with the boat. AVOCADO,WAT RED FLAKE IS MY FAVORITE COLORS 2 FISH BUY A PACK THEY REALLY WORK!

From: Dalton: TN

Comments: Borrowed a baby brush hog from my friend and Texas rigged it caught a few 2 lb bass and my friend put one on and brought out an 8lb bass! I went out and bought some and they unbelievable action. recommend these to everyone.

From: Matt: Charlotte, NC

Comments: Watermelon red flake Texas rigged with an 1/8 oz bullet wieght with a lift and drop presentation is killer!

From: Alex: Joliet, IL

Comments: These are solid baits for sure but they have nothing on Strike Kings Game Hawg. If you dont believe me go buy a bag. Its a great bait.

From: TN

Comments: one of my favorite creature baits! been using this for 2 years now and its allways produced! texas rigged on a 4/0 hook is how i like to throw em. maybe even with a 3/8 or 3/16 ounce bullet weight depending on if you wanna flip them (there great for that too!) bass cant stand these things and time and time again, THEY EAT EM!

From: Bass Nightmare: OH

Comments: By far my favorite soft plastic bait to throw anytime . Plum crazy and blue fleck work best for me at night in the summer!!
